Good day sweeties! It’s time for another monthly insight into my turbulent life. In November I have been (fake) pregnant, had a potato mash party, got an injectable and went to visit “Sinterklaas” (Saint Nicholas). I made a few new recipes, had photoshoots, spend time in the gym and in the sun with my hubby.

Shooting pregnancy clothes. That’s a fake belly under my dress.
Out for dinner, as Maarten came home with the good news that he is getting a permanent contract at his current client. As we are both self employed and are betting on a bigger house, it is a pleasant idea that at least one of us has a permanent contract.
Wearing a favorite outfit to a private appointment. The jacket was a present for my birthday by mom and dad.
Run training! See that logo? MudMasters Obstacle Run here I come (again)!!
Just another hot, sunny day in November. I’ve spent hours on the terrace with my man and just wondered around down town.
Wow, something really, really weird happened here. See Jana on the right and me in the middle? Why is Jana wearing my head? MY HEAD! We asked the photographer if he did this to joke around, but it seems he didn’t. I still don’t understand what happened …weird!
I shot a few portraits. My favorite by far.
Watching a movie. Errr … I mean doing my cardio of course.
Every evening we try to go to bed early. Quite hard, lighting the candles in the bedroom to make it cozy helps a bit.
My own brows are very fair and even after years of paying attention to how the makeup artist does it, I still can’t do my own. Too bad, because I really love heavy brows. Most women look so cool with them! Anyway, I felt coolwith my brows.
During one of the weekends we had absolutely nothing and we had no social appointments. I’m not a huge fan of shopping, but when we went down town to for lunch and coffee at the terrace, I quickly slipped into Zara. After I was done checking out the clothes on high speed, I went to look for Maarten and found him standing in between the mannequins like this. Ahw, cute!
Hmmm, yummy! I made marzipan balls and according to my critical jury (Maarten, haha) they tasted very good. You can find the recipe here.
Waiting for the makeup artist and photographer. Meanwhile, I check my mail on my laptop, which I always have with me on the train or when I travel.
Maarten came home from the hairdresser with a hooligan hair cut. I do not know if the hairdresser knew Maarten is a management consultant; in some occupations it might be better not to have a hooligan hair cut – Psst! Maarten is a sweetie and not a hooligan whatsoever. Just saying.
We were invited to a potato mash party. One of the mashes was so clever, different and deliscious, that it inspired me to make a variation on it to surprise my hubby when he came home after work. The recipe will appear on my blog one of these days.
Utterly yummy, freshy made desserts! Unfortunately, they were not sugar and lactose free, nevertheless, I could not resist them. I’ve suffered from it especially the next day (I will not go into detail), but it was totally worth it.
1.5 hour drive to the party, than this is what you get.
Picking up a gift. I also shopped myself some macadamia nuts.
Brussel’s sprouts with cinnamon and almonds for dinner. Yum! I’ve posted the recipe here.
November, which means a lot of brands are shooting their Christmas collection.
“Okay, stand there with the tree and do something!”
I cooked for friends at our home. Mar took it over a bit. We ate a red cabbage -sweet potato mash.
A little time out, enjoying this paleo hot chocolate.
Hello brows! This is art! Unfortunately I still can’t do this myself.
I ate a banana. I often just forget to snack, or find out that it is 3 p.m. while I didn’t even have lunch yet.
Glorious Primark notebooks! A good reason to get more organized. I use the pink notebook to write down anything that has something to do with my blog, for example recipes. I use the glitter notebook to write down my to-do lists.
Early in the morning I left for work to find the stairwell like this. Dexter?
Yay, mandarins are in season and the days are getting darker. Love it! It’s so cozy to light the candles while I write my blogs. It’s very calming to ‘work’ like this.
Date with the beautician, who only works with very soft, natural products.
Ah yeah! We booked a trip to Thailand! When exactly I’d rather not say; you’ll find out after I am back! – image source
I want to break free …
A beautiful still in the studio where I was working that day
On our way to a party of 2 friends. It’s a long drive by car, so we’d put the volume on max and bounced on the music in our seats. We also tried Dubsmash, but that’s not been very successful.
My friend Roelof’s birthday. He likes beer.
My little girlfriend Anouk was shortly at the party. She gave me a free check-up, an injection in my arm and put a hammer in my ear.
Aaah, this was so annoying, I have a responsive design on my blog, which means that my site adapts to the device with which you check my blog. Perhaps you’ve noticed that my site was still non-responsive, as seemed to appear from the text that disappeared from the screen. Luckily I found the cause and resolved the problem. I also worked in the codes of my site to improve matters in terms of design.
I installed Snapchat. This is my first Snapchat photo. I don’t quite ‘get’ Snapchat yet though. Is it fun? What kind of pictures do I have to snap?
Cookies and tea between writing a proposal for a freelance personal branding consultation job (yep, I am also available for communication consultation).
We were invited to come over to Sinterklaas’ house (translates to Saint Nicholas, which is the main character of a traditional Dutch childrens festivity similar to Christmas). This was so much fun! There were a lot of children who danced in the Black Pete (secondary character of the festivity) disco, beat the drums and nervously got their icture taken with Sinterklaas. When I was a little kid, I actually didn’t really dare to take a picture with Black Pete, so when there was an opportunity, I took it. See me glowing (or is it a slightly nervous smile?)!
Alrighty, this was my November diary. I hope you enjoyed voyeuring into my life 😉 What were your November highlights?
