[dropcap]I [/dropcap]haven’t had this lovely tummy warmig breakkie in a long time, I missed it! Why it’s so good: this breakkie is vegan, making use of coconut milk instead of i.e. cowmilk. Hurray for that! Furthermore, this bowl of tummy love may help you shift excess fat by balancing your blood sugar level and hormonal levels.
Let’s get more into detail before I share the recipe:
Oats are naturally gluten free (make sure to check if they are not packed in a factory that also packs gluten containing products). Oats balance appetite-control hormones and contain lots of fiber, which help digestion and balance blood sugar levels. Moreover, oats provide energy and lower (bad) LDL cholesterol.
Walnuts are a rich source of heart-healthy and beautifying monounsaturated fats and an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids. A great source if you are menopausal, suffer from PMS, dry skin or acne.
White grapes contain antioxidant resveratrol, which is being studied in humans as a potential treatment for Alzheimer’s disease and is thought to have anti-cancer and anti-fungal properties.
Cinnamon is a very strong antioxidant, probably the strongest there is. It is even one of the cheapest spices!
Coconut Milk/Santen contains monounsaturated fats, which is also called “the fat that makes you thin”. These fats help the body feel full and satiate the brain receptors that control appetite. Coconut milk is furthermore beneficial for your hair and skin health.
Conclusion: this breakkie is extremely healthy and beautifying!
