We are on the edge of Christmas and I look so much forward to it! What is nicer than a spending a few days with those I love most, to cook together and to great annoyance of my companion sing Georgies “Last Christmas” all day long in a very bad Christmas sweater? Well, all of that combined with a glass of mulled wine perhaps?

No sugar

[dropcap]You[/dropcap] can of course buy mulled wine at the winery, but making it yourself is much more fun and usually healthier. The recipe by Taste of Divine has no table sugar added. I made the recipe vegan by replacing the honey syrup by maple syrup.

The recipe for this mulled wine is very simple! All you need is a bottle of red wine, 2 clementines (sliced), half a lemon (sliced), 10 cloves, 2 cinnamon sticks, 1 star anise and 1 tablespoon maple syrup. Read the full recipe at Tasteofdivine.com
